I like the idea of the homestay – learning how to cook in a local kitchen would be great! But I like the idea of catching fish in the canal by hand, then cooking it over the coals even more – luckily, I don’t mind getting dirty!!

Visiting the floating markets has been on my list long since having seen photographs in National Geographic – so different to the culture I know. I love the idea of organizing a homestay, and riding bikes to immerse yourself fully in the culture and landscape. Thanks for the ideas and tips!

What I love about your Mekong-Delta experience is the fact that it is so immersive. You have been able to interact with the locals, actually live with them and get real close to their culture and cuisine. This is travel in its real essence. The bicycle rides amidst rice fields is of course the icing on the cake.
