MEKONG RIVER TOUR ALTERNATIVES
There are many types of Mekong river tours which suite different needs of adventures.
The first experience is called Mekong boat trip. This means we travel by bus or car from Saigon. We hop off at a spot by the Mekong river where we can join a boat trip along the section of the river around 2- 3hours. This type of boat trip can include also sampan when the engine boat could not enter small creaks.
We can make the trip one day, two days, three days or four days. Every day we stop at a different spot and make different boat trips. We visit different villages and experience different life assets of Mekong people.
Overnights can be homestay with Mekong families, middle class hotels or luxurious hotels by the river bank or at mountain top looking over the endless rice farms.
The second experience is named premium Mekong cruise. Travellers stay at private rooms on wooden boats of three up to 15 rooms.
Travellers enjoy full day on the boat with full meals. Extra activities can be cooking demonstrations, taichi and occasional visits to villages. The cruise can take two days, three days and even four days. It can connect cities and cities or even Saigon and Phnompenh.
Full time on the boat allow travellers to experience all aspects of Mekong beauty from sunrise to sunset.
