TERM AND CONDITIONS

The contract between us

The contract will consist of an agreed itinerary and your acknowledgement of acceptance of these booking conditions. The contract between us becomes binding at the point at which you issue instructions to us to go ahead with making reservations for the agreed itinerary and pay the deposit according to the terms in the payment. By entering this site you accept these terms and conditions. The terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice and it is your responsibility to check these terms and conditions regularly in case changes are made. Continuing to use this site after a change has been made is your acceptance of those changes.

Liability

Mekong Trails acts only in the capacity of agent for its travelers in making arrangements for transportation, hotels and other services that are incidental to the travel that is being purchased. As agent for the travelers Mekong Trails does not assume any liability whatever for any injury, damage, death loss, accident or delay due to any act by any carrier, hotel, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the services included in the tour.

Mekong Trails accepts no responsibility for any damage or delay due to machinery breakdown, quarantine, weather or causes beyond our control.

Mekong Trails accepts no responsibility for any omission, delay, retouring, additional expenses or other events resulting from improper health certificates or necessary documents to enter or depart a country or acts of any government authority.

Mekong Trails operates on a tailor made basis you can request alterations to any aspect of your holiday without surcharges. We will advise you of the cost or saving resulting from proposed alterations and if it is acceptable to you, incorporate it into the price.

Acceptance of booking

Mekong Trails reserves the right to decline your booking without explanation if we have cause to believe that you might pose a threat to safety of others in Vietnam.

Mekong Trails reserves the right to adjust the itinerary or to substitute hotels or to cancel a tour prior to departure without prior notice or will take no responsibility for any loss due to group dynamics, weather condition, governmental or police action, traffic jam or other conditions dictate. Should we cancel a tour as a result of any of these reasons a refund will be made to the customer for all services that are not delivered. Mekong Trails requires you to take out travel insurance and any other necessary insurances adequate to meet your needs and will assume that you will have done so before your arrival in Vietnam.

Cancellation
Cancellation by customers:

All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to us via fax or email.

Greater from 30 to 16 days prior to departure 30% of full amount plus any bank fees that result from us here and any charge occurs to us from our service providers.

Less than 15 days prior to departure you will loose your full deposit. There will be no refund given for any unused or missed ground arrangements, sightseeing, meals or hotel accommodations. For no-show cases you will lose your money.

Cancellation by Mekong Trails:

In the unlikely event that such circumstances should arise we will contact you immediately and offer you the choice of an alternative of equivalent quality or a full refund of all money paid. No additional compensation will be paid over and above the total sum received from you.

We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us for any reasons to your payment of the full price of the holiday.

Complaints and Claims

Shall you feel unsatisfied with any service Mekong Trails has provided, please notify your local tour guide or your travel advisor to avoid the potential for similar problems happening again during your trip.

In the event of a complaint or claim for compensation, you must inform us by email, regular mail, or facsimile in writing within 15 days from the end of your tour. Relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of claim. Mekong Trails will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour.

Travel insurance

We will not be possible to arrange any insurance for the clients who travel Vietnam from abroad. We advise them to contact an insurance company in the country of residence. However, it is possible to let us act as an intermediary link between the client and their insurance company.

We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from your country of origin.

Medical precautions

You should ensure that you are fully up to date with vaccinations required for Vietnam. If your itinerary means you may be involved in strenuous activities such as cycling or trekking you should check with your medical practitioner if you are in any doubts about your fitness to do so.

If you are allergic or have any other disabilities or health problem relevant to your holiday you should inform us well in advance.

Documentation

A passport is required valid for 6 months beyond your tour departure date. A visa is required for Vietnam except Scandinavian countries including Finland, Denmark, Sweden and ASEAN countries including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Laos……

Travel documents will be compiled after the deposit has been received and are sent via email and should be printed out by participants and retained as a receipt.
